Appetizer: South Texas Bean Dip

Ingredients
1 (16 oz) can refried beans
4 oz. cream cheese
12 oz sour cream
1 bunch green onions, chopped
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 (4 oz) can diced green chiles
8 oz salsa
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
8 oz shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Directions
Mix all ingredients except cheese. Pour bean mixture into 8 X 8 inch baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.

Remove dip from oven and sprinkle cheese over the surface of the dip. Return the dip to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Remove from oven and let stand 10-15 minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips.
